Round 1 of the Jakarta Regional Buggy Championship was held on March 6, 2011 at DE Pro, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. There were a total 45 racers. The race format was three rounds of 10 minute qualifying using the âś2 best roundsâť system, and five groups of finals (A-E) with 5 driver bump-up.

I tried a new set-up on my XB808â™11. After I raced the three 10-min qualifiers my results were not so good (17th out of 45 racers).
I went into the 30-min B final and started in 10th position. I pushed hard until around 10 minutes in to get into the lead. I finished the B final in 1st place.

I bumped up to 45-min A final and started in 8th position. Again during the first minutes, I pushed hard and got into 4th place. Since the race was longer, I could better my position and I finished in 2nd place.
So, I got two trophies from this race: 1st in the B final and 2nd in the A final !
